Homework Confusion

Good Morning!

I hope I find you all well!

I must apologise for the problems involving the homework this week and any concerns that have arisen. On Friday evening I attempted to post the blog using the class iPad. Unfortunately, the post did not become live and I was unable to gain access to the blog to rectify this. Upon returning to school yesterday I was still unable to gain access to the blog and I explained to the children that there was a delay to the homework blog being posted and that they would receive a week to practice. The post then uploaded automatically yesterday evening, however I was not able to make any edits to the script.

I explained again to the children this morning that their homework will not be due until Monday.

Once again I apologise for any problems/concerns that this may have caused.

Take care

Mr Mallison

Times Tables Rock Stars: Play
For Multiplication, I ask that each child spends sometime over the course of the week practicing their multiplication skills using the Times Table Rock Stars website. This is important for both Year 4 and 5 children as these skills are used across the curriculum; however it must be noted that if your child is in Year 4, the government are intending to continue with the Year 4 multiplication assessment this academic year and a little bit of practice each week would be beneficial.
Multiplication Test
Next Friday I will be testing the children on their knowledge of the 11x table.

This online resource can be very helpful with learning timetables:
In the search box type ‘multiplication’ and you will gain access to the games that I showed you this week.
