In our English lesson yesterday we discovered that Flotsam is debris that has washed up on a beach. Today in class a number of items have washed up and we have spent time investigating who the items belong to.

Good Afternoon! My apologies for the delaying in getting the homework out to you this week. I had a few problems getting onto the blog. Due to the delay I have decided to put the spelling and multiplication assessment back to next Friday (13th November) rather than Wednesday.

For Multiplication, I ask that each child spends sometime over the course of the week practicing their multiplication skills using the Times Table Rock Stars website. This is important for both Year 4 and 5 children as these skills are used across the curriculum; however it must be noted that if your child is in Year 4, the government are intending to continue with the Year 4 multiplication assessment this academic year and a little bit of practice each week would be beneficial.

Next Wednesday I will be testing the children on their knowledge of the 8x table.
