Guided Reading
After what feels like a lifetime of using video editing software I have managed to create a video with me reading the book. It is very basic, just a picture of the front cover and a voice recording. I hope to expand on the videos in the coming days, I hope you enjoy this first one. PS: Ignore my rambling at the end of the video, I was restricted to 10 mins on the video editing software and I panicked 🙂

GPS
Today we will be exploring complex sentences. At the start of the video some of you may believe that you have completed work on subordinate clauses in the past, especially the year 5s. Do not worry though as it is always important to refresh your skills and this refresher may allow you to include these sentence types in your Non-chronological report.
Maths
Once again for maths we are going to split into our separate year groups. However today we are going to explore some resources that we have secured to support our home-learning. The resources come from Whiterose maths and personally, I think they are really good. I would however really appreciate your feedback, so if you would like to send me a message to the class email letting me know what you think that would be great.
I am particularly interested in:
- Was the video useful? 2. Were the questions challenging enough? 3. Do you/would you like additional questions to solve?
Year 4 – Factor Pairs
Step 1: Watch the video below (pause the video to solve the questions/complete any tasks):
Step 2: Complete the work sheet that is on seesaw.
Year 5 – Multiply 4 digits by 1 digit
Step 1: Watch the video below (pause the video to solve the questions/complete any tasks):
Step 2: Complete the work sheet that is on seesaw.
Theme
Today we will be investigating who the Saxons were and where they came from.
To begin with would like you to read through the slides below:
Task: Using the template on seesaw create your own Anglo-Saxon passport to guarantee entry to Britain.
As well as the information above I would like you to include information from the research that you collected on Monday.
Note: When creating your name you could use this resource to help that I borrowed from the Class 3 blog:
PE – Dance
Time to get active children. We will continue with our dance unit. I would love to bust a few moves and demonstrate my light feet, however I feel that we should leave it to the professionals. Therefore this week we will be dancing with Oti Mabuse.
