Another really productive week for year 5 this week. We have started our new Mayan topic which the children are loving! We now know when the Ancient Maya started and finished, what happened during and where they lived. We have also started our new guided reading text “The Nowhere Emporium”. The Reading for year 5 this week was a huge improvement with 92%!

Homework.
As the children are coming to the end of their Fraction unit in Maths, there is a math sheet with a few worded fractions on ( see below, there are 3 different sets of questions ranging in difficulty 1st being the most challenging). The children have done these problems in class when I have helped so I want to see the children working this out independently(please show working out) , This will be due in Tuesday. Also for maths could the children please complete 20 minutes on Timestable Rockstar’s this will be done every Wednesday.
