Class 4 have had another amazing week after a disappointing reading score of 72% we have just achieved 96%! To carry on with the good news we have also achieved 100% attendance this week and every single child completed the homework with flying colours.
Class 4 have been hard at work this week with a lot of writing being done so I am going to give them a little break with the homework this week. We have started writing our final set of instructions for out stone age English theme and they are looking fantastic ( pictures to follow when done )
The spelling for next week are:
Accompany
Amateur
Bargain
Bruise
Community
Competition
Explanation
Guarantee
Individual
Prejudice
Homework
The children are taking the “wild way home” book home with them this weekend. Their homework is to read the next chapter of the book ( they can recap the first few chapters if they want). There will be a quiz the following week to test the children’s knowledge of the book. There will also be a quick recap regarding our recent math’s topic, rounding numbers to the nearest 10,100,1000 and 10,000. This has been a really hard subject so below there is a few questions to try out.
These questions can be made longer by asking to round to the nearest 10 and 100.
I have received some photos of the children reading our book which look amazing but if you are still yet to send a picture my e-mail is trotta@brandesburton.eriding.net.
I will be posting on Twitter every week showing what we have been up to and what peoples work looks like so feel free to have a look.
Many Thanks and have a lovely weekend!
Mr. Trott
