Lucas also sent me photographs of him completing a picture to go on his letterbox and details of his walk with his pet dog, Fred. Unfortunately, due to a problem with the blog I am unable to upload the images.

Home Learning W/C 27th April

Good Morning Class 4! I hope you are all well and that you are your families had a lovely weekend.

As I only set the theme activities last Thursday I have chosen not to post the theme grid today as I felt that you may need a little more time. Therefore I will be uploading the new one one this coming Thursday. However, so that it is easier to find here is a copy of the learning grid from last Thursday:

Shout out to the Parents and Carers!

Congratulations on completing another week of home-learning! I have received many emails over the past few weeks explaining how challenging parents are carers are finding juggling home-life, work, children and home learning. Some highs and some lows…despite everything that is going on in the world right now, never forget that:

You are all doing a fantastic job!

Now it’s the weekend (well not until 15:15) so…

Alfie has sent me a range of work, but unfortunately I’m having a few problems getting it up onto the blog at the minute. One particular challenge he is carrying out is growing beetroot, he will be sending me weekly updates that I hope to share on the blog in the coming weeks.

Alasdair is also learning to speak Danish! He sent me a wonderful video, but unfortunately I have been unable to post it onto the blog, which is a great shame as I am blown away by his skills!

Anya’s updated Peter Thorpe Artwork
Excellent piece of Art Work Created by Charlie!

Charlie has also sent me a video of him experimenting with air pressure, which blew my mind. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get the video uploaded due to a problem with the blog. But I will share the video with everybody when we get back to school.

Gethin has been working very hard again!

Harrison’s fantastic album cover design.

Theme Activities

I hope you are all well today!

Based upon the feedback I have received in relation to the learning grid (very positive and that it is helping families plan their week and allow children the freedom to decide with an adult as to what they will complete each day). A small selection of parents requested daily tasks rather than the learning grid however the majority felt that the learning grid was a very positive tool.

Therefore I have decide to continue with the learning grid, but a slimmed down version with fewer tasks that will allow parents to formulate a daily tasks approach should they choose, but with the overall freedom to select when activities are completed. I will upload one theme learning grid per-week containing 5-10 tasks in addition to a Maths and English grid. But please do not feel that you have to complete everything, these are a range of activities that will support your child’s learning. We all know how difficult it is to juggle our own work, in partnership with children’s work and the potential for juggling a number of different activities dependent on year groups.

I hope this helps!
